Sandwich 56
Acushnet and Sandwich faced each other the first time and it was a thriller. Acushnet won 67-66, but Sandwich wanted revenge in the championship. Acushnet jumped out to a 32-23 lead at the half led by Jake Jason who scored 19 points in the first half. Acushnet then went on a run to open a 55-33 lead, but Sandwich came storming back cutting the lead to 59-54 with 1:37 left. Big free throws at the end gave Acushnet a 61-56 win over Sandwich. Jake Jason lead the way for Acushnet with 30 points and Andrew Buzniak added 13 points with nine in second half. Reed Barker (eight points) and Zach Soucy (six points) and 11 rebounds helped a whole lot for the win. Noah Barton grabbed 12 key rebounds. Acushnet has won three Tourneys in three straight weekends.
