  • It was status quo for the top three teams as Easton, Newton and Hanover took care of business.

  • (4)Falmouth tripped up twice in final regular season games
Dartmouth 26, (4)Falmouth 24
(10)Nauset 22, (4)Falmouth 17

Entering the final weekend of Cape League action undefeated. Falmouth dropped its final two regular season games. The number four-ranked squad lost to unranked Dartmouth, 26-24, and to number-ten ranked Nauset, 22-17.

“We knew we had to play a strong game and hoped to build some confidence going into our league playoffs,” said Nauset head coach Steve Ross. “It was a total team effort.”

Page McMakin led Nauset with eight points. Ashley Ross played tough defense and was vital on the boards in the victory.

Dartmouth jumped out to a 15-9 lead at halftime led by a strong team defensive effort and Samara Turgeon's eight first half points. Turgeon ended with 10 points. Dartmouth received key baskets from Audrey Morin (four points), Ava Rymszewicz (four points) and Erin Kate Bailey (three points). Dartmouth held off a late game surge by Falmouth to win 26-24.
  
Falmouth still heads into the Cape League playoffs with the number-one seed.

  • Westwood girls knock off top ten Taunton.

Westwood won a nail-biter in Metro West action.

  • Down go the Dragons

Halifax 27, (18)Duxbury 23
The top dogs in South Shore D3 knocked off D2 powerhouse Duxbury, 27-23.

  • Mustangs knock off Rockets for first W 

(25)Norwood 36, (24)Needham 31

In a toss-up game, Norwood won this contest between future Bay State Conference foes.
