North Attleboro 6th Grade Boys
Over the weekend, the registrations for the Select Hoops MLK Classic
at Mass Premier came pouring in. Every team that signs up will be profiled
leading up to the event.
In the 6th grade boys division, North
Attleboro (Red) will test its mettle as one of the premier D2 Metro West teams.
The Rocketeers are 7-3 overall on the young season and 3-1 in league play with
wins over Medway, Foxboro and Norwood.
Coached by Bill Oram, this hard working group continues
to learn and get better each week.
“We have a good combination of post players and shooting
guards which gives us good balance,” described Oram. “Our success is based on
all 11 kids contributing in each and every game. I stress to the kids that in
each game they all need to do something on the court to be remembered.”
North is led in the post by center Jack Campbell who does
a great job of controlling the boards on both ends and has some nice post
moves. In the back court, point guard Adam Drummond is as smooth as it comes at
this age. He was a standout at the Proving Grounds that made coaches double
check the roster to ensure that he was indeed a 6th grader. Drummond
is flanked on the wings by sharp shooter JT Fulkrod and defensive stopper Billy
Oram.
North Attleboro prides itself on its depth and expects
heavy contributions from its entire roster which includes forward George Ladd,
Ryan Enright, Christian Mayer, Charlie Olsen and guards Colby Feid, Jason
Daniels and Justin Vecchiarelli.
